A thousand thanks to the delightful Sue Ford, who stepped into the breach when Carl March was forced to abandon our Watermill online watercolour painting teach-in this Thursday, due to a family illness.
Sue, who also has expertise in these matters, will now lead the FREE online teach-in the use of water-resistant techniques to enhance your paintings. Livelier landscapes can be achieved, for example, by adding rock salt. This creates intriguing abstract shapes, looking rather like starbursts or ‘sparkles,’ or giving a mottled effect to mimic sun-kissed or snow-covered foliage. And you can brighten your flowers-by the judicious use of masking fluid. See Carl’s examples above and below.
Sue will show you the hows, whys, whats and wherefores online this Thursday, 8 February. The session starts at 7pm European time, 6pm British time (Greenwich Mean Time). Please check the start time in your own time zone. For more details and to register, just click here.
When you have enjoyed Sue online, why not join her for her inspiring residential painting creative week at the Watermill this September? Nine people are already booked in, but we have room for a few more painters. Here are the dates and a link:
