Isn’t this a beautiful lace cowl, knitted by Lea Marrissen from Belgium*, one of the students on Louisa Harding’s knitting course that ended today? Louise’s brief was to use the colours and shapes of spring at the Watermill to inspire the design. Lea has certainly done that, picking up, among other things, the chives blossoming in one of the herb beds in the Watermill walled garden. Thank you for sharing your Posara Lace Cowl with us, Lea – and thanks to Louisa and all the participants for such a happy and productive week.
*It was an international week too, our participants came from the UK, the USA, Canada, Sweden and Belgium.
Here are more of the beaded cashmere lace cowls, photographed by course participant Kathryn Brenne, who says: “A fabulous week in Tuscany with Louisa Harding of @yarntelier, A design Louisa developed for the workshop to teach us new techniques.”
Here is the raw material, the yarn supplied by Louisa. Again, the photograph is Kathryn’s.
Come and join us next year for a convivial and inspiring knitting week. There are more details on our Watermill website 2023 preview page, which you can see by clicking here.
