After the exertions of the excursions on Wednesday, we always take our painters (and their non-painting partners) to the tranquil and restful Convento del Carmine on Thursday for a peaceful day.
Above are two of our guests on Mike Willdridge’s painting group, enjoying calm contemplation as they try to capture the architecture and the ambience of the ancient monastery. Not that those cloistered curves are easy to draw. Here’s another guest tackling them.
After a gourmet picnic lunch, they returned to the Watermill by minibus, while the three non-painting partners set off to walk home, some of the way down ancient pilgrim trail.
More of the delights of a Watermill painting holiday. Why not come and see for yourself? We still have some places on our September and October courses. Reserve yourself a space now. You know you deserve it!
Below is the up-to-date list of our internationally renowned creative courses. And remember, you will be Cool and Green at the Watermill: all our rooms are fully air-conditioned part by our hidden photovoltaic cells which make us self-sufficient in electricity.
