Our guests are settling in nicely on their online, interactive ‘virtual’ week at the Watermill. Yesterday’s task for the group was to paint the warm and welcoming Watermill courtyard. That’s tutor Mike Willdridge’s demonstration picture above. As ever, as well as painting along with Mike, our 90+ guests, from many different countries, enjoyed the convivial company and friendly chats during yesterday’s session. And more than 50 of them have already submitted their paintings for our online gallery.
As usual, I’ve made a montage of a few of those pictures. I was only really able to choose eight of them, which I did entirely at random.
Also as usual, I have made a short Facebook slideshow of the pictures, so you can see them a little larger. You can view them by clicking here.
Tomorrow we will be setting off to our first location: the nearby castle and fortified village of Verrucola. Mike has chosen a delightful little white chapel on the outskirts of the village for today’s subject. Here is his demonstration painting — and I will bring you more highlights from our gallery tomorrow. Happy painting!
