What fun we had yesterday, catching excitement of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco in Randy Hale’s latest interactive online session with the Watermill. It was another compelling session for our ‘virtual’ international painting community, with people from all over the world getting together for two or three hours of convivial creativity. As usual, participants have sent in their efforts to our gallery, and, as usual, I have put together a few of their paintings (chosen completely at random) in a little montage.
It’s a much more peaceful scene in Mike Willdridge’s next interactive, online session on 15 February: two girls drawing on a beach at Vernazza, one of the picturesque villages in the Cinque Terre.
But the place is really by the by, it is the figures in which we are interested, because Mike would like to give you some tips on drawing people. The session is really more of a draw-along rather than a paint-along. Only at the end will we add colour.
When you register for Mike’s session we will give you, as usual, a copy of his preliminary drawing, but this time we’d like you NOT to make your own drawing until the session begins. Then Mike will guide you every step of the way.
