You may have noticed (and I hope least a few of you have) that I’ve been posting fewer Watermill blogs in recent weeks. This is due not only to helping to look after a record number of guests on our creative weeks here, and organising the logistics of arrival and departure, excursions and the like, but also because of the amazing efforts of the younger members of the Watermill team (notably Gina Shearston and Lois Breckon) in creating a new, vibrant Internet presence, particularly on Instagram and Facebook.
So, I’m passing the baton of communicating the Watermill’s exciting activities to them and I’m going to concentrate more on quirkier, off-beat observations on art, architecture, literature and the Italian way of life. I shall also be continuing to write the monthly Watermill Newsletter, about which a number of people have said very pleasant things in recent times.
If you’re reading this because you’ve have stumbled across the blog and/or the newsletter, please subscribe (it’s free) by clicking here for the blog and here for the newsletter. That way you will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds: 21st century instant communications and a rather more leisurely take on life in our new-look, old-style Watermill blogs and newsletters.
