We suppose, in this age of instant communications on social media, that postcard-sending, like letter-writing, is a dying art. But we think there’s nothing nicer, especially for the children and grandchildren, than to receive a colourful reminder that their loved ones, are well and happy –and having a good time without them!

So we provide our guests with postcards featuring the delightful photograph of the Watermill, above. They cards are absolutely free, with our compliments. What’s more, wherever you are sending your cards, the postage is also completely free. We have a collection of stamps which allow us to stick on the right combination for postage anywhere in the world. And, since you’re honoured guests, we’d like to pay for these (and also not to have to faff around finding change.) Furthermore, we will post them for you, so postcards may arrive back home before you do, though given the vagaries of the Italian postal system, this is unlikely!

It is all part of the Watermill philosophy that our guests should not have to spend anything extra for their holiday, from the moment we pick them up at Pisa on the first Saturday until we drop back there again a week later.

Everything is included in the cost of your holiday at the watermill: tuition, accommodation, pre-dinner aperitifs, all meals and wines (including outings to charming local restaurants) and all local transportation (including transfers to Pisa airport and an excursion by train to Lucca or the Cinque Terre).You get to Pisa, Italy, we do the rest! 

Of course, you may want to treat yourself to an extra coffee or a cake when you’re out and about on location; or on your excursion, you may prefer to sample the delights of an Italian restaurant or caffé instead of taking a Watermill packed lunch. It’s entirely up to you and our principle remains ‘Everything is included.’
