Presenting Pam Smart

I have had the most amazing holiday painting with you and a super group of likeminded aspiring  artists. I had never done anything like that before so I was very nervous knowing there were some very experienced artists there. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging and we had a lot of laughs too. Pam thank you for your demonstrations which were excellent. Thank you for your patience and help and encouraging me to learn more skills. Thank you again for the very best holiday I have had in years. I hope to be able to come on another holiday some time.

I have just been on my first painting holiday with Pam. I was extremely nervous as I’ve never painted a picture before but I needn’t have worried. Pam has a great sense of humour and is a fabulous teacher with a wealth of experience, patience and words of encouragement.….I made some good friends and spent a week of painting, sketching, learning and laughter! Would I go on another holiday with Pam? In a heartbeat.

I have recently spent a week on a painting course run by Pam. An absolutely fabulous week in a beautiful setting, lovely company, good food and lots of laughing!

I was quite apprehensive beforehand as I am far from being an accomplished artist but I need not have feared, the atmosphere was relaxed and with Pam’s encouraging and constructive teaching I felt I learnt a lot and am now keen to paint more at home. I cannot wait to repeat the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone of any artistic level.

Pam gives you confidence, a real lift, helpful tips and invaluable teaching. She structures her lessons so that you invariably leave on a high, having been challenged in new and exciting ways. A very skilful and generous teacher

I learnt so much from the demos and you were always in the wings to give me advice on colour mixing and much more.  I feel that, through your teaching, I improved a lot and it inspired me when I got home to paint more. Hard to put into words but it is one of the best holidays that I have been on and I’m looking forward to a week next year.

The best saved to the last – Pam’s teaching was effective and enjoyable. Activities were well planned and prepared. Introductory demonstration and ‘talk through’ was supported by follow up guidance as required and was always developmental and insightful. Participants were able to follow their own artistic inclination should one aspect of the course capture their particular interest. The group was mixed, some experienced and talented painters, through to me ‘the beginner’. My apprehensions were laid to rest. Pam’s course was pitched to be inclusive and I was able to progress with my desire to paint flowers throughout the week, using the impressionist techniques which Pam introduced at the beginning. I learned a lot and look forward to next year’s ‘jolly’ with Pam which I have already booked.
