Graham Parish

Graham Parish

Photography and Gastronomy

Graham Parish, based in the West of England, is primarily a landscape photographer, but for several years he worked as a professional food photographer too, with prestigious clients like Marks & Spencer. At the Watermill, we pride ourselves on our delicious freshly prepared Italian food, both traditional recipes and inspired innovations.

Combine the two and you have the recipe for a unique week-long holiday, where you’ll savour both the stunning scenery and the food – and learn from Graham the secrets of capturing them both with your camera. As well as trips to Medieval walled towns, castles, convents and hill-top villages sleeping in the sun, you’ll also have daily talks from Graham to help you make the very best pictures.

Here’s comment from one Graham's students: "Thank you so much for that brilliant workshop. I am fired up to get out and about with my camera now! I understand the vital functions of the camera at last and your info about composition makes me think more carefully about what's in front of the lens.”

Her demos are a delightful opportunity to be a fly on the wall as she goes through the various steps in the process while simultaneously explaining each step: composition, sketching, laying in the colors, developing a completed painting, and demonstrating and explaining her courageous use of color. Her critiques are equally helpful to the novice and the experienced artist. They are honest, very helpful, and still kind."
