I hadn’t painted much or regularly for many years so a week’s residential was slightly daunting. I need not have worried. Carl’s lessons were well planned and his explanations and demonstrations of techniques were clear. He was encouraging and always found something to praise as well as suggesting ways of improving the painting. The week was great fun, relaxed and I came home with paintings fit to frame and hang on the wall. I enjoyed it so much that I promptly booked another week. It was every bit as good as the first and my work has continued to improve.
