We are always pleased when guests on our Watermill painting weeks prolong their memories of their stay with us by sending us pictures they painted when they were here. So, we were delighted to receive some watercolours from Hazel Murray, who was a guest on Keiko Tanabe’s watercolour week earlier this month. Thank you for sharing these with us, Hazel, I selected just two to give an idea of the atmosphere during that inspiring, relaxing and convivial week.
Above is Hazel’s painting of tutor Keiko sitting on a rock in the river Rosaro that runs beside the Watermill. And here’s her impression of the rose pergola, with the Watermill buildings beyond.
What a lovely way of preserving memories. Hazel says: “I had a wonderful time at The Watermill at Posara. A fantastically beautiful setting and accommodation, with amazing hospitality, and food to die for. A really special group of people, we painted with the superb artist Keiko Tanabe, such a great lady, such fun, and so generous with her time.”
You can make your own memories by coming on a Watermill painting holiday. We still have some places this year (see below) and you can find out more about our 2023 creative courses by going to the Preview page of the Watermill website. Just click here.
