It has been ‘all hands on deck’ for the past couple of days as the Watermill team put the finishing touches together, ready for the first of the season’s creative courses. We are delighted that, at long last, we are about to begin a full season of inspiring and convivial painting, creative writing, knitting and Italian language courses.
We have 22 courses this year and bookings are looking buoyant: some 250 people are already booked in for inspiring teaching, a beautiful setting, delicious food, wonderful scenery and, of course, the convivial company of like-minded people.
Our heartfelt thanks for those who have supported us during these difficult last couple of years, and who postponed their visit after Covid restrictions had stopped them coming on the original date. And our thanks, too, to all the new bookers who have shown their faith in us. All your support has been much appreciated.
It is not without trepidation that we begin our first full season since 2019, but we are confident that all will be well. We had a bit of a dress rehearsal as things opened up towards the end of last year, so we think we know what we’re doing!
And once those geraniums are in place by the front door (above), we know we are almost ready to go. It’s a bit early in the year for them to be flowering lustily, but we are confident that it won’t be long before they look as magnificent as this group (below), painted by Watermill guest guest Nancy Anderson.
We still have a few places left on our creative course this season, and we would love you to join us. There is a list of courses and notes on availability below. (As we always say, if you fancy coming on a course that is fully booked, don’t despair: there are often cancellations and if you let us know via the Watermill Contact Form, by clicking here.
