Now that restrictions on travel from the USA* to Italy have relaxed, it is time for you to throw off the coronavirus blues and spent a wonderful week painting in Tuscany with US artist Randy Hale. He is a charming man, a great artist and an experienced and sympathetic painting teacher. (*Hopefully, travel restrictions for the Brits will have been abolished, by then too.)
Randy Hale, an exciting watercolourist from Colorado in United States. As well as his workshops in the USA, Randy has taken painting groups all over the world. And recently, he has been hosting some of our Watermill online interactive painting sessions, where more than 100 people have painted along with him each time.
After a successful business career, Randy returned to his first love, watercolour painting, but his true passion has proved to be in sharing his knowledge as a teacher and workshop instructor. One of his students says: “Randy knows his stuff and he knows how to teach! The best watercolor instructor I have ever had!” Another says: “He’s an excellent artist and instructor, offering clear and positive help.
That’s Randy’s painting of the Watermill above, seen from the walled garden. And here’s his impression of the imposing castle at Verrucola, near the Watermill, where we go out on location with our painting groups on Mondays during our week and, as well as enjoying the location, savour a delicious meal in a local trattoria.
And here’s a Randy watercolour of our own village, Posara:
Randy will be with us for a week-long course in watercolours from Saturday 21 August to Saturday 28 August 2021. *And don’t forget that you will be Cool and Green at the Watermill: all our bedrooms and public rooms are air-conditioned, powered by our hidden array of photovoltaic cells which make us self-sufficient in electricity.
We would love you to come and join us and enjoy excellent tuition, warm hospitality, stunning scenery, delicious food and wine and the convivial company of like-minded people. You know you deserve this break!
