Following a meeting yesterday between Chancellor Merkel of Germany and the British Prime Minister it is increasingly probable that, in the German Chancellor’s words “We think that, in the foreseeable future, those who have received double jabs will then be able to travel again without having to go into quarantine.â€
Angela Merkel’s words, of course, apply at present specifically to Germany but there is every reason to suppose that other European Union countries will quickly follow suit.
All the restrictions, delays and uncertainties in the last 14 months have, of course, been devastating for hospitality businesses such as ours, but at last (well almost) we can begin to see a Grand Reawakening for our renowned creative courses, and a Great Escape for our frustrated guests.
Thanks to the generous understanding of our guests and the flexibility of our tutors, we have been able to postpone many of our earlier creative courses to later this year. But it does mean we still have quite a few gaps on our remaining painting, writing and Italian language courses.
If you would like to enjoy, at last, a unique opportunity for inspiring tuition, warm hospitality, stunning scenery, delicious food and wine and the convivial company of like-minded people, now is your opportunity to join one of our courses. Your support will be much appreciated.
It’s been a tough old time for the Watermill this last year and a half, but with your help we are sure we are going to survive.
Everything is fine here in Italy, with restrictions being lifted, cases falling and vaccinations increasing steadily. Both Lois and I are fully vaccinated and of course, we will take every precaution to ensure that you are safe during your stay.
As we Italians say tutto andrà bene, all will go well.
Below is the up-to-date list of availability for our internationally renowned creative courses. And remember, you will be Cool and Green at the Watermill: all our rooms are fully air-conditioned part by our hidden photovoltaic cells which make us self-sufficient in electricity.
Please come and enjoy the unique delights of the Watermill. Your support is invaluable.
