Our painting tutor Randy Hale was inspired by a photograph of the nearby castle and fortified village of Verrucola, where we take our groups during our painting weeks, to produce the stunning watercolour above.
He worked on it from 9 o’clock in the morning, “coming up for air†at 2:30 pm
Randy has been the tutor on quite a few of our popular interactive online painting sessions, and he will be a tutor for the real thing with us on a week-long course at Posara later this year, but he has not yet visited the Watermill.
So, I guess you could call is long-distance inspiration (8,741kms to be precise, according to Google from us to his home in Denver, Colorado!)
If you’d like to join Randy and be inspired by the sea and many others in the stunning Tuscan countryside, please click here – and enjoy close-up inspiration!
