After our excursion into the bustle of the city of Lucca on Wednesday, the members of our online interactive painting group spent a few tranquil hours yesterday, painting in the grounds of historic monastery near the Watermill. That’s tutor Mike Willdridge’s demonstration picture of the scene above. Judging by the animated chatter of the Zoom session yesterday, the group is having a grand time, bonding with each other after painting together for six days.
Once more, many of our guests sent their paintings to our online Gallery, and again, I’ve been able to choose only a few of them to display here.
As ever, my apologies to those I had to leave out. It is not a sign of artistic merit: I chose the paintings at random. And again, I’ve made one of those short, fun Facebook slideshows, so you can see the paintings a little larger. You can view them by clicking here.
It’s the last day today and we are off to a thousand-year-old hilltop village with stunning views over the Apuan Alps. And what has Mike chosen to paint? Why an Italian washing line, of course! I think you could just glimpse the mountains in the demonstration painting below.
