Our paint-along with Mike Willdridge of two bicycling ladies in a Vietnamese market was the last in the current ‘term’ of our Watermill interactive online sessions. It’s been another resounding success, with people from all over the world honing their skills and enjoying each other’s company as they painted along on Thursday afternoons with our inspiring tutors. We really have created an international ‘painting club’: our latest member comes from New Zealand!
A big ‘thank you’ to all who took part. We’ll be back with another series next autumn/fall.
As usual, I made a little montage of just a few of the paintings made by participants in Mike’s session. As always, I have selected the paintings entirely at random. My apologies to those I had to leave out and my thanks to you all for your enthusiastic response to our online sessions. Our thanks too, to our energetic and inspiring tutors Mike Willdridge and Randy Hale, and to Lois Breckon for her brilliant organisation, unfailingly cheerful monitoring of each session and her speedy editing of the final videos. As ‘Young Mr Grace ‘ said in Are You Being Served?: “You’ve all done jolly well.”
Now we are taking a break online, why not come and join us for real? The Watermill creative courses this year are filling fast, but we still have a few places left if you would like to join us for inspiring tuition, warm hospitality, stunning scenery, delicious food and wine and the convivial company of like-minded people. Now is the time to make your reservation. If you see a week that you particularly like the look of and it is fully booked, don’t despair: there are often cancellations and if you let us know of your interest by the Watermill contact form (just click here), we will put you on a waiting list.
Below you will find a list of all our 2023 painting courses. They are filling fast, but we still have places quite a few courses and even if a week may be fully booked, there are often cancellations, so if you would like to come with a specific tutor on a specific week, please let us know via the Watermill Contact Form, by clicking here.
