A fair proportion of our painting guests (some 30% to 40%) return to Posara time and again to enjoy another creative week with us. One of our guests, William Shand, has been no fewer than 15 times!
People ask us: Do you return the same locations every year? The answer is a resounding yes, for our itinerary is planned to give the greatest variety of places to visit, and food to eat. As we always say, our locations are chosen for their views and loos.
There is no danger of becoming bored when you revisit because each of the locations there are a variety of subjects to paint. Take the old mediaeval town of Fivizzano near the mill, for instance, where we go to paint on market day on Tuesdays. There is not only painting the market itself, but wonderful views down the valley towards Posara.
And you can find inspiration for other paintings as well, as did Watermill guest Robert Christopher (top above and below). So even if you come many times, you will find something new to paint.
Below you will find dates and links for all our 2023 painting courses. Just click on the link of the ones you like to find out more detail. You will see that some of our creative weeks are already fully booked, but if you fancy a particular week or a particular tutor, don’t despair: there are often cancellations. Please get in touch via the Watermill Contact Form (by clicking here) and we will put you on a waiting list.
